Hon Chief Charles Ugboajah hails the transformation at Ntalakwu Community Secondary School
In a heartwarming display of resilience and community spirit, Ntalakwu Community Secondary School has undergone a remarkable transformation under the dedicated leadership of the Mayor of Ikwuano Local Government Area, Hon Osinachi Nwaka, and the proactive principal of the school, Mrs Goodness.
Stepping onto the grounds of the school, one is greeted not only by the sight of bustling corridors but also by the palpable sense of hope that now permeates the air.
Last year, Mrs. Goodness embarked on a daunting recovery mission to Ntalakwu, where she encountered a mere trio of students amidst the desolate halls. Undeterred by the challenge, she rolled up her sleeves and, with the unwavering support of the leadership of the Mayor of Ikwuano LGA, embarked on a journey of revival.
Today, the fruits of their labour are undeniable, as the once barren classrooms now echo with the laughter and chatter of over 200 students. This monumental achievement stands as a testament to the power of collective effort and determination in the face of adversity.
Representing the esteemed Mayor Hon Osinachi Nwaka at the event, the Deputy Mayor of Ikwuano Local Government, Hon Chief Charles Ugboajah graced the school with his presence, extending heartfelt congratulations to Mrs Goodness and her team of dedicated stakeholders.
In his address, the Deputy Mayor Ugboajah emphasized the importance of learning from Ntalakwu's success story, urging other secondary schools in Ikwuano to follow suit and reignite the flame of inter-school competition. Hon. Chief Ugboajah said, "Through collaboration and unwavering dedication, we can transform even the most challenging circumstances into beacons of hope and progress."
Chief Ugboajah also lauded the Governor of Abia State. He said, "The present administration, under the adept leadership of Governor Alex Otti, is unequivocally committed to ushering in a transformative era for Abia State, with a specific focus on revitalizing Ikwuano Local Government."
He continued, "Through strategic governance, particularly in the field of education, the government aims to enact significant positive changes that will benefit the community and its residents." He concluded.
Others present at the occasion are; HRM Eze Larry Ogbonna, Mrs Nwaogbo, delegates from the Ministry of Education and others too numerous to mention.
Additionally, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh and Hon Emeka Atumah's invaluable contributions have paved the way for this extraordinary transformation.
