There is no greater religion than human service – Hon. Stanley Chimerimeze.

The Former PDP aspirant for the Ikwuano State Constituency, Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Stanley Chimerimeze Onwunna has said that there is no greater religion than human service.

He made this statement yesterday, the 8th of April, during the official launch and unveiling of his Foundation, “Chimerimeze Foundation” at his country home, Awomukwu in Ikwuano LGA, where he also hosted members of his campaign council who worked with him during the last 2023 elections, and some beneficiaries of his foundation.

While giving his speech, Hon. Chimerimeze said that his foundation has been silently helping the needy for the past three (3) years, as he believes in helping humanity without making noise. The benevolence of the foundation includes the payment of WAEC fees for secondary school students and those in tertiary institutions. The foundation has also helped in the purchase of tools for youths who learnt skills like aluminium fabrication, carpentry, tiling, and other relevant skills. The foundation has also sponsored other willing youths who learnt other crafts to make themselves better persons.

During his speech, Hon. Chimerimeze said, “First I would like to thank the party leaders across the four (4) clans for their unwavering support throughout the election season and beyond. Particularly, I would like to thank the Distinguished Senator Representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Senator Austin Akobundu, the President-General of Amizi Autonomous Community, Mr. Uche Usuwa, the Former LGA Chairman, Chief Mrs. Ngozi Oji, the Ikwuano Party caucus leader, Admiral Raphael Osondu, and every other party stakeholder too numerous to mention.”

“I would also like to thank all my coordinators in all the four clans who worked tirelessly throughout the campaign period. Most importantly, my special appreciation goes to all my supporters who even when all hope seemed lost, stood by me till today. I promised my campaign team that regardless of the outcome of the election, we would always be together. Even when the stakeholders of the party instructed me to step down as the former House of Assembly member due to ranking, I obeyed and my team didn’t collapse. Today, I stand proud to be hosting everyone here and I want to thank you for your faith in me and this journey.”

“Also today, I am officially presenting to you the “Chimerimeze Foundation”. All these while, everything we have been doing for the community has been secret. However, my team and I felt it was important that we bring it to the limelight. “

The former aspirant also called out some persons who were meticulously selected based on recommendation, and they were gifted food items and cash gifts.

During an interview at the end of the event, Hon. Chimerimeze mentioned that there was still much to celebrate despite the circumstances, emphasizing the importance of getting closer to his community and fulfilling his promises to them and his faithful campaign team. According to him, appreciation is more than a fleeting sentiment; it is a fundamental pillar of human connection and understanding.
